County WOMEN BUILD returns with 2009 kickoff

?xml:namespace> Habitat for Humanity of Martin County is hosting its 2nd annual Women Build kickoff on November 22, 2008 from 1pm – 4pm at
Halpatiokee
Park in Stuart. This event will host construction training clinics, a GirlsBuild shopping and GirlsBuild construction area and Power Women shopping area. Refreshment proceeds will benefit the newly formed Jensen Beach High School Campus Chapter. Lowe’s, who is the national underwriter of the Women Build program, will host how-to clinics at the kickoff. Women Build is a Habitat for Humanity International program that encourages women and girls to have fun and make a difference by building homes and communities.
?xml:namespace> Plans are underway for a home to be built in Indiantown beginning January 2009. All women are encouraged to attend the kickoff and participate in the clinics which will give them an advantage when construction begins.
