WHAT:
They will work on site completing construction on a home in Indiantown. This Girl Scout Troop is also the first Girl Scout Troop to earn a Habitat for Humanity badge. In the badge work program which took place over several months, the girls learned everything from city planning to the pros and cons of renting or buying a home. This program titled Girls Build is a component of Women Build, a Habitat for Humanity program. Contractor Jon Bascetta came to one of the meetings to teach the girls about the stages of home construction. The badges will be presented to those girls who met all the requirements. The work will also count toward the Girl Scouts Bronze Award. The Troop Leaders are Kim Johnson and Lisa Moore.
