Charity Golf Tournament to Benefit Local Habitat “Fore” Humanity
Stuart, FL April 16, 2015 - A single round of golf can help build homes, communities and hope thanks to the Second Annual Habitat Charity Golf Classic presented by the First Tee Foundation of the Treasure Coast, the Roy A. Hunt Foundation and the PGA Foundation Section on Wednesday, May 20.
The tournament will take place at Loblolly Golf Club, 7404 SE Hill Terrace in Hobe sound. Registration begins at 12 p.m. followed by a 1 p.m. shotgun start. An awards reception/cocktail hour will take place at 5:30 p.m.
“We are thrilled to be able to offer Habitat supporters the opportunity to play at Loblolly,” said Margot Graff, Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity of Martin County. “With fantastic partners like the First Tee of the Treasure Coast, the Roy A. Hunt Foundation and the PGA Foundation, not to mention the exclusivity that comes with the pristine Loblolly course, this is sure to be an exciting day. It is just another chance for us to showcase our affiliate and bring people together to build homes, communities and hope.”
The tournament format is a four-person scramble. On course contests include hole-in-one prizes on every Par 3; longest drive contest; closest to the pin and a putting contest. Prizes include $5,000 cash; a five day, four night cruise for two people; two round trip airline tickets to anywhere in the United States; an electronics package; golf foursomes and much more.
Special recognition goes to tournament sponsors, The First Tee of the Treasure Coast; Roy A. Hunt Foundation, Seacoast National Bank; Seaside Bank, Hooks Construction, South Florida Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, F&D Wilberding, Inc. and Palm City Nursing.
Registration is $300 per golfer (limited to 72 players) and includes an awards reception with cocktails and heavy hors d’ oeuvres, and an embroidered polo shirt. Guests may attend the awards reception for an additional fee per person.
